Sony HDR-CX260V test footage of capabilities (1920 x 1080p) with MTS converted to AVI Video Clips. Duration : 2.95 Mins.

I made this video to test out the video quality of the Sony HDR-CX260V camcorder. There are outdoor shots, indoor shots, close-ups of my birds and scenes from a car (I was the passenger, not the driver!). Overall I was really impressed. Even though Youtube has apparently cut down the 59p video to around 29p (grr!), I think it's still a smooth picture, and the Full HD is great. The camera itself is surprisingly light and has about 12GB of usable memory, which should be enough for my use (although you can put in an SD card if necessary). Despite the difficulties I had in creating a video with the MTS files (see below!), I'm very happy with the purchase, because this is the video quality I've been waiting for. And Adobe Premiere Elements 10 didn't have a preset project setting, nor an export preset, that would produce the video in 1920 x 1080p with the 60fps resolution (I would either have to reduce the resolution to get 60fps or give up the 60fps for full HD). I haven't given up on PE 10 and hopefully I'll find a ...
