Hide-A-Way plates Video Clips. Duration : 0.33 Mins.

first off...this was my old car....I used to drive to LA and there are speeding cameras in Lafayette which i think getting a ticket for going 5 and 7 MPH over the speed limit is JUST STUPID. So this is what i did to prevent tickets. ok....go to home depot. but the 2 of the smallest hinges you can find, a 2 inch spring and some stainless steel cable. the real thin stuff. Like what you hang pictures with. All that is at home depot. the only other things you need is some foam thats half inch thick and a couple screws. Mount hinges to the trunk and license plate(bolt the frame to the license plate). mount the foam/spring to the truck where the top of the license plate touches. Drill a small whole to rune the cable from the top of the license plate through the hole and to a screw on the right side of center console. Un hook it when you want it to flip down and the spring pushes the plate to fall down. Pull and hook it back to the screw head when you want it back up. The reason i didnt hook up a motor is because if the motor goes out there you are looking like fresh meat to a pack of wolves...ya know
